J&J’s - An English Country Wedding

There is something undeniably special about a traditional English country house wedding, and Jess and Josh's celebration at Avington Park was the perfect example of why these weddings never go out of style.

Nestled amongst the Hampshire countryside, Avington Park provided a breathtaking backdrop for a day that was elegant, deeply personal and full of meaningful moments. Every element was carefully considered to reflect the couple's personalities, creating a celebration that felt effortlessly beautiful whilst remaining completely authentic to them.

One of the most striking aspects of the wedding was the floral design. Jess has always adored flowers, so it was important that they played a central role throughout the day. The talented team at Little & Bloom created romantic arrangements that transformed every space, bringing softness, colour and texture to the venue.

Rather than ending there, the florals became part of the guest experience too, with a beautiful floral takeaway station allowing loved ones to take home a little piece of the celebration.

The couple also wanted to honour Josh's naval background in a meaningful yet elegant way.

Following dinner, guests gathered around a traditional Royal Navy-inspired port station for a classic port toast - a timeless tradition that added both significance and personality to the evening. It was a wonderful reminder that the most memorable weddings are often those that weave family history and personal stories into the celebration.

As the evening continued, guests discovered another surprise that perfectly reflected Jess and Josh's playful side: a nostalgic s'mores station. It quickly became a favourite, encouraging guests to gather together, share stories and enjoy a relaxed moment before dancing continued late into the night.

From beginning to end, the day balanced timeless English elegance with thoughtful details that made the experience feel uniquely theirs. It is these personal touches—whether honouring a family's traditions, celebrating favourite childhood treats or creating memorable guest experiences—that elevate a wedding beyond beautiful styling and turn it into something guests will remember for years to come.
